Hi-
Today I’ve unashamedly arrived at the three score of Psalms 90:10, in the King James version. So that verse would give me another 10 or 20 to continue to do something significant. Although I agree that the years quickly pass, I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to invest in eternal realities such as the Word of God and loving and building up people’s souls in Christ.
I do need the wisdom of Psalm 90:12, (v. 12 “Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.â€) but God promises that in James 1:5, (If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.â€) and He has satisfied me with His unfailing love each morning as I’ve met with Him in my devotional time. Each Sunday I sing and rejoice with His people in worship (v. 14). (“Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.â€) Such a deal!
Therefore, for both you, and us in Bogota, I finish with the Psalmist prayer in verses 16, 17 of Psalm 90:
“May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children. May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us, yes establish the work of our hands.â€
