Dear Friends in Christ:

This has been a hectic spring. I had two fair computers die as well as the CD player that I use to play gospel music at the fairs. I replaced the computers but was having power sensitivity problems with one of the replacements. I got a UPS (Uninteruptible Power Source) and it fixed that problem. It also provides power to all the electronics for about 18 minutes in case someone plays around with the fair circuit breakers. I also replaced the CD player with a much better one, and for about half the price.

Lately, the internet response has been slow with not too many names coming in to receive the Bible lessons in the mail. I am still busy teaching the children at church and also the adult SS class twice a month. God has been so good and is still working in my heart as I study His word. I am constantly encouraged by His Word.

I will start receiving Social Security in October, and will then be able to support myself and part of the ministry. At the end of the year, I intend to dissolve the ChildTel corporation. After that, donations will no longer be tax deductible. Thank you so much for your continued prayer and financial support.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us—Ephesians 3:20.

May God richly bless you as you study His Word and grow in His grace. You are very special.

Dear Friends at Countryside Bible Chapel,

The new Bible study that I mentioned last month in the Clark County Detention Center has been a blessing. Last week eight men attended, and we had an unusually good time of discussion. One of the young men (his name is Thomas), spoke openly about his heroin habit and said that he just dreamed about that needle that was waiting for him. He became more honest and said that it would probably be an overdose and that he really wanted to die. I stopped the study and asked all to pray for Thomas, asking God to intervene in his life delivering him and giving him hope. After prayer, several men began sharing with him about their drug habits, and in a wonderful way shared how Jesus Christ had delivered them and they now have hope in Him. The Holy Spirit led this in a special way, and I could see Thomas beginning to understand how much he was loved by God and that there really was hope for him.

Next week I will be starting another weekly Bible study in a “high custody unit.” We have several of these where volunteers are not allowed to go. I am looking forward to the Lord’s work, through His Word, in the lives of more of these needy men. Pray for this.
The ministry at the new prison called, “Casa Grande” is going well. This is a transitional facility for men who have been in the system for a long time. They will get help in their move from prison to the community (jobs, places to live, savings account, and many other things will be covered). Most important will be programs dealing with substance abuse and related things. Best of all it is a great privilege to be able to assist these men, helping them to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and getting them involved in a good local church. There is a genuine hunger for a meaningful relationship with our awesome God. I have an opportunity to be the Chaplain at this facility (no pay involved). This gives me the privilege of overseeing all of the religious programs and planning for them. I will also be helping to network with churches, hoping to encourage business men and women to hire the residents. I expect to spend two days per week at this prison.
Thank you for your gift to this ministry. You are a real blessing to me. May the Lord God richly bless you.Â

Looking for His Soon Return,
