Men’s Breakfast

Though it was not mentioned this morning at service, it was in the bulletin and that is that we will be having our men’s breakfast this Sat 12/15 at 8 am!

We will have a delicious breakfast followed by some thoughts to encourage us and then a time of prayer to get us on our way.
Not a long time to tie up your morning but a good way to get up and get going on a Sat morning when we are all so busy.

If you think you may be able to come out for about an hour of food, fellowship, and prayer please let Roscoe or Peter Hall know so we can plan accordingly!

Teachers for Children

We need Sunday School teachers for the Preschool and K-1 classes. We are also looking for people who can be with the kids during Children’s Church at the 11 o’clock service. If you have the burden of ministry and would like to help out, please see Raman.

Special Missionary Visit

Peter Clift, veteran missionary from Japan will be with us on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7:30. All are invited. Please come! We have been supporting Peter for many years.

Prayer Opportunities!

Every Sunday evening at 6:30 pm we pray together. Starting today we are planning a new focus of Outreach in our prayer time. We will keep a private listing of first names of family and friends and the name of the person requesting prayer. Then we will look to the Lord to answer these specific requests. Please join us. We try to end at 7:30 pm.

Baptism

We are planning a Baptism service, Sunday, October 28th at the 11:00 am service. Preparation classes will begin today, Sunday, September 16th in the Library for anyone who is interested.

Friend Day

Friend Day is only two weeks away. Will you pray and then invite your friends to visit us on Sunday, September 9th? We will have a joint Sunday School gathering after the Lord’s Supper. Vince Maiorana (It’s Magic - Illusions with a Message) will be with us addressing the children (adults may watch, too). At the 11:00 Service Jed Snyder will speak from Isaiah 9:6. Lunch for all will be served on the grounds at about noon.

LCA Scholarship Fund

We have a LCA scholarship find that is used to help those in need in sending their child to LCA. The cost of tuition for one year is $19,000. We have helped families in the past and now we have a family in need of $7,000 to send their child to LCA for the 2007/2008 school year. If you feel you can contribute to this family in need, please designate any monies to the LCA Scholarship Fund. Thank you for prayerfully considering this need.
