2024 CBC Packing Party Collection
This year everyone can buy or sponsor a shoebox item that will be used for our Chapel packing party. We will be using a ticket system to help folks know what to buy and how much. For 2023 we collected/packed 330 shoebox gifts. 2024 we hope to do even more.
Sponsor tickets - Some items are being bought in bulk at special prices. You can donate to the purchase of these items by taking a Sponsor ticket for an item. Put the ticket and the donation in an envelope and give to Claire Brosius, as indicated on the back of the ticket. For example, Soccer balls with pumps are $4.00 each and we are buying 200.
Buy tickets - Buy items as indicated on the ticket. Some special information is on the back of the ticket depending on the item. For example, we can get really nice solar calculators at Walmart (Pen & Gear brand) for $1.98 each.
The ticket board will be available every Sunday in the Fellowship Hall. Take a refrigerator magnet Ticket Holder and as many tickets as you are able to fulfill. Turn your items in to Claire with the corresponding ticket on any Sunday.
Important dates to remember
October 20 - School kit items due - Pencils, crayons, colored pencils, sharpeners, cap erasers
November 3 - all other bought items due
November 9 - Packing party set-up
November 10 - CBC Packing Party
